You sure do ask questions that make me think!!

When I paint my hand, I start with the design first and try to
visualise how it will look on the hand -- placement and all, and then
start from the center of the design and work my way out. The placement
depends on what I'm doing, but usually the design is directly in front
of my. That's just what I find comfortable. Just practice lots and
see what placement you find easiest and go with it.

And keep asking great questions!
