The heat did wonderful things for henna...and anytime I get to henna under different conditions and learn new stuff I'm a happy lady. Some of the best henna color I ever got was from the swealtering night I hennaed half my hand, closed my eyes for a minute and woke up the next morning....no wrap, no nothing...just 100F in a loft with high humidity so the henna stayed on my skin slightly damp with perspiration all night. Fortunately, I was so trashed I didn't even move during my sleep, so the henna stayed perfect. Unfortunately, I had only half my hand done! Where was I? Brushwood. Hennaeing and teaching henna history, tradition and technique classes...... I hennaed and seamstressed at the Church of the Subgenius X-Day, (and since I made the papal garb for Stang, (with irridescent and holographic patterning, white maribou and flashing lights on the jacket) I get to be formally referred to as Reverand Bunny. I hennaed through Craftwise, and did more oak leaves and triple thingie stuff for Druids than I ever thought possible. Many Forum regulars and lurkers were at Sirius Rising, and we had endless joy hennaeing and getting to know each other there.... I hennaed from 3 to midnight every night during Starwood...was rather thankful that by Sunday I had run out of supplies so I could just relax. Then, I spent a week in the Shanon position.
