I recently bought a Rani Kone at an Indian store. It gives a wonderful dark brown color and has a good consistency. It didn't seem to penetrate the skin as deeply as regular henna, though. Here is the URL of an Indian grocery store where you can order a Rani Kone for a good price. I haven't ordered from them, though. Go to the MISC. section and look under mehndi.
