Stickie in the Mix?

Just curious to know if anyone puts sugar in the henna mix to help it
stick better until it can be properly sealed. I've only tried it once
(It stuck great) but, I had very pale color. I don't know if it was
the sugar in the batch, or just a bad batch of henna. I have heard
some people do put sugar in, but all the receipes I see don't have
sugar in the ingredient list. Anyone who has experience with this I'd
love to hear your results. Thanks for your help!!
