Liquid Henna

I am trying to find a way to extract the colour of Henna into an
ink. 7 or 8 years ago in Pakistan, me and my sister used to make
that extract by putting some Henna Powder, sugar, and tea in a closed
pot and it resulted in a black liquid-like ink. We used to put that
ink in a pen and make designs on our hands. I have unfortunately
forgotten that method and if somebody knows that method, would they
kindly tell me? I would really appreciate it.
