I just worked a bellydance workshop (wee haw! that was fun!) Got a
lot of questions about black henna, and after my reply the common
response was: "Yeah, I'd heard it was bad for you, but I wanted to
doublecheck..." So the word is spreading! I brought my body paints
for anyone who wanted black. But everyone opted for the real henna --
after all, it's the process...the smell of the paste, the feel of it
on your skin, and the magic of watching the stain develop and change
colors. You just don't get magic from paint.
