: I used some bleach to get a (very) messed up desgin off right below : my neck. I did water it down, but just a little bit. Now my skin, : where I used the bleach, is very dryed out and red. Whats happening, : and how can I fix it? Bleach is too strong, even diluted, to use on your skin! It sounds like you are experiencing a chemical burn. The neck area is especially sensitive too, so really watch the area for possible blistering. I would say for you to treat the area very gently for a while. Don't let clothing or jewlery rub on the area. I would probably use a silver sulfadiazine-type burn cream (prescription) or at least an antibacterial ointment like neosporin and/or aloe vera gel. If you burned a large area, I would probably go to the doctor. In the future, try a little peroxide on a q-tip or an alpha hydroxy lotion. Stay away from bleach though!!! Good luck!
