I;ve tried syringes -- great lines, but my thumb got really sore from pushing. I've tried Jacquard bottles and found them tiring for my whole hand. I tried carrots bags, but my control isn't great so my lines were always inconsistent. I tried making my own cones from sheet protector plastic -- when I got them right they were perfect, but I had trouble making good ones consistently. I tried frosting bags with tips and they work very well. But now I am hooked on carrot bags with frosting tips. The carrot bags are more comfy, and the frosting tips give a consistent line. Since I started sifting with Jed's sifter I haven't had any trouble with clogging. I use either a 0 or an 01L for regular work and a 2 for bold work.
