Archeologists found a sarcophagus, lady and her crown, from Anatolia, about 350 BCE. They feel its probable that it is Carian queen Ada, sister and consort of the ruler Mausolus and adoptive mother of Alexander the Great. Her crown is a finely detailed wreath of gold with perfect flowers, and perfect leaves of....Lawsonia Inermis (!) (or some other plant that looks absolutely identical, but I'm betting it's henna!)
