Shel, Can you alter your costume at all? I was thinking that you could either wear gloves, gauntlets, or maybe cover it up by wearing a metallic hand wrap. If you're a tribal dancer, maybe you could just cover your entire palm with henna (since this was how henna was originally worn.) Either that, or shampooing your hands will probably strip the color out. I feel for you. I was dyeing my hair for a performance last year, and I forgot to use a plastic protector for my skin. I wound up with these huge long black streaks down my back 3 hours before I had to leave for the performance! (And just my luck, I had to wear a specific costume that I couldn't change.) I got most of it out by shampooing the hell out of it. The streaks faded to a faint bluish tinge, so I just passed them off as flog marks (I was supposed to be one of Cleopatra's handmaidens, so I figured that it was appropriate)
