Some people's toenails are very resistant to color. Mine are, even
though my skin stains nicely. For the first few applications,
my toenails were orangey, with bare patches toward the middles
of my big toes. I persisted, though, and eventually got a rich
chestnut color. I kept it going all summer by spatching on a thick
layer every week or so, whenever I had the time and inclination.
(If you have lumpy paste lying around, this is an ideal way to
use it up.)
