also, if the nails themselves are thick, consider using a very fine
emory or 'nail smoother' to reduce the ridges a bit. Have some fun
browsing the local shops for nail care items - just know that if you
use any kind of buffing medium, you'll probably need to remove it
thoroughly before applying henna.
