henna help for poison oak??

My husband was working in my mothers yard and apparently got in to
some poison oak. Being the loving wife that I am I washed his laundry
while he took a hot bath (we had no idea about the poison oak YET!)
We now both have the rash on our faces, arms, torsos etc. His is a
lot worse the mine. I was wondering if henna would have any healing
effects on the rash. Any voices of experience out there? Thanks for
