There was a thread about this very subject a few days ago...you can check out what was said. From my experience, fine lines come from a fine tip. I usually use a .05 mm jacquard tip. It is difficult to do. You must apply constant pressure to force the henna out evenly and move your hand quickly, in proportion to the amount of henna you are squeezing out. If you go too quickly the henna stream can't keep up and your line will break, and also you may not be able to lay down your lines where you want them. If you go too slowly, you line may not be straight or in the shape you want, and may be all lumpy and wavery. So, I suggest practice. I find that you really do have to lay down your line...that is, start squeezing the henna out and laying down the line like you are laying rope on the ground. try to keep the tip away from the skin and let the henna fall out of the applicator onto the skin guiding the design with the motion of your hand and arm.
