Some squeeze, some pull more, and texture is extremely important. Got it. Thanks! (I look forward to the photos.) I've tried doing some fine lines to fill in - like diapering or blackwork on the paisely-like mango shapes - but if I try crossing them, the second (top) lines only touch skin in the middle, not where they cross. Toothpicks mush too much (perhaps I don't have a delicate enough touch) and pins don't seem to stick to the henna enough to work. I think I need to work on the paste texture. Catherine - obsessions I understand. Anything that challenges one's skill. Or perseverance. Or is it perverseness?
