The longevity depends on the part of the body. Chest fades first, at
3 days. Soles of feet last 8 weeks. The notion is that the thinner
and glassier the skin, and the closer to the heart, the faster it will
dissappear. The thicker and more calloused the skin, and farther out
on the extremities, the longer it will last.
