Advertising firms. They do these surveys where they name a product
and then ask if you like the product based on its name and ad. ("Does
this product taste good?" "I don't know, I haven't tasted it." "Does
this product taste good?" "How am I supposed to answer that?"...they
can't give any other verbal signals because that would skew the
results. I don't do surveys anymore - stress for both parties.) This
kind of research, however unscientific, is big bucks.
