: I have a friend who is a painter and he has been helping me a great deal with my designs...the trouble is we can not seem to find a method that allows smooth application but that it still comfortable......i was also wondering if you make the mixture very acidic.....with lemon or lime juice, would a more water-y, paintlike texture still give good color..........any help would be appriciated Well you're not going to get a "paintlike texture" that leaves a good color. You can sift it to make the powder very fine, but even then if you dilute it to the texture of paint it's not going to be dense enough to color well. The best way to do it is to sift thoroughly before mixing the paste and then use a VERY fine tipped squeeze bottle. They have them in craft stores. The art of henna lends itself more to drawing then to painting per se. -jj
