If anyone is interested to know more about Islam and Mohamed, I
suggest a really great book by Karen Armstrong called "Mohamed". It
is basically a biography of Mohamed but gives a lot of background
about Islam and how it came to be. The author is a former Roman
Catholic nun and while she is writing as a christian, she gives a
very even-handed picture of Islam. She doesn't muck around in
current politics and fundamentalism, just the basic story of
Mohamed's life and the revelation of the Quran. I found it
fascinating and it took a lot of the mystery out of Islam.
