Only henna plants make henna. There is very little that will
penetrate and stain a skin cell safely ... henna's one of the very
few things that does. A chemist mentioned potassium permangenate and
iodine would stain , but those really aren't any substitute. Hair
dyes? Potentially very dangerous. Kool aid? Hardly.
