YELLOW?!?!?!?

Okay...for christmas, all I wanted was some henna stencils and ink.
My parents bought me some. I was really excited. I put some on,
followed the directions on the box...waited....waited, and when I
washed it off it was a light, hardly visable YELLOW!
It was suposed to be brown! I thought to myself 'maybe an hour isnt
long enough.' so I tried again for a little over 2 hours. Still
bright yellow.
Please help. Is henna susposed to be yellow and I didnt know it?
Maybe I did something wrong, or the brand was sucky. If you could
suggest a better brand...
This was a really big dissapointment for me on christmas day. :(
