It's a harquus (not tattoo), looks like it was done with kohl or soot
mixed with fat ...there are dots on the cheeks, nostrils, one on the
chin, dots arching over the eyebrows and "Allah" written between the
eyebrows (Arabic, Kenzi checked the Arabic for accuracy, which is cool
because in the original publication the negative was flipped and the
word was backwards. Super uncool, Kenzi says!).
