My first design, which took rather wonderfully two weeks ago, is on the way out. So it doesn't exfoliate in weird mottled patches, I just took a pumice stone to it and scraped off the really dead, dry top layer of skin. Now I'm left with a decidedly tenacious creamsicle-colored outline, and for fear of scrubbing until there's nothing left, which I'm sure would look lovely and feel great, I'm leaving off the pumice. Is 'creamsicle phase' normal towards the end of a henna design's lifetime, and how long does it last? Dark auburn is a lovely color to decorate skin with. Orange, alas, is not. (But it's better than black :)
