Even though there are a few Indian groceries in Austin, TX, there's no
guarantee that the henna sold there is fresh. I've tried a few brands
and they all seem stale beyond reviving.
Henna from companies that specialise in henna on the Net can guarantee
freshness -- it's the main product they sell and their reputation and
continued survival in business depends on having excellent quality
henna.
I've tried Body Art Supply and Body Arts Co. (pricey, but great
quality) and Castle Arts Henna (excellent quality at an excellent
price -- but needs sifting). I'll never buy henna locally again!
