There is beaucoup henna in the Freer, but I don't know what's on
display at the moment. Many of the pieces that show henna are ceramic
pottery from the 10th to 15th centuries, Persian and Iraqi. You do
have to get the hang of what to look for.

I'd LOVE to get to the Freer!!!!!! (and the Louvre, Topkapi, the
British Museum, the Met, the Vatican Museum and oh....about another 40
years of time and an unlimited budget to persue this little
obsession...)

After 10 years I've kind of gotten a knack for finding henna .... I've
looked for so long, I just know where to look. Like four leaf clovers
and parking places. Actually, the stuff in that post was at
Borders..(blew the grocery money again....)
