That would be best for a really tough job ... somewhere henna deosn't take worth a damn. Heat expands the molecules so dye can enter and stain more easily. When you're dyeing cloth, anytime you can raise the dyebath temperature you get a better take. I don't sleep with a heating pad myself, but when it's a cold snowy night in northeast Ohio, I often recommend clients do so, and I like to sleep in a room that's really warm by the furnace. I always get a better henna stain in the room that tends to overheat to 85F than the bedrom at 65F. I've seen the difference heat makes .... a friend had me henna an upper arm band on each of her biceps, I wrapped them, and she danced around a bonfire clockwise for a couple of hours. Her right arm was always to the fire and very hot, her left was to the cool night, and always cold. The next day her right arm henna stain was WAAAYYYYY darker than the left. There are some haeting pads that aren't safe to use overnight, but others are safe .... gotta be sensible about it....
