Thank you so much for reminding me of the joy of having a little
sleepy child curl up next to you! My babies grew up and got all
haired over and curl up with their beloveds now! I do, however, have
pugdogs and cats that they left behind when they got their own
apartments that curl up with me in exactly the same positions ... and
except for the fleas, it's just as lovely.
To traditionally protect your wonderful little boy from the Evil Eye,
put a dab of soot on his nose (medieval Persian)... especially if he
is very beautiful ... and once a day, refer to him as "that #$%^&" or
"*&^@#" or even "you little *&@#$%", so the jealous spirits won't
realize how much you love him and thus plot to steal him from you ...
( dating back to 2500 BCE Babylon) .... part of the whole collection
of beliefs related to henna, kohl, harquus and tattoos and really cool
jewelery protecting us from the seven cosmic blue meanies....
