: Okay, so I've been kinda waiting for it to happen... : I have a floor program to do on campus for a girl who is Arabic. She : would like a ten minute presentation before the henna starts flowing. : I know little bits of traditions (peacocks, hidden groom initials, : etc) but I lump that in my "general nifty Knowledge about henna" : section of my brain. I would like to be able to share more traditions : that are specifically Arabic and also not insult her somehow. : Suggestions? : Thanks, : Rosie Yes there are, Arabic designs that are very bold (lots of henna is used) floral motifs and vines, or you can do moroccan which is geometric. In Islam hennaing is allowed. I have seen butterflies on Arabic designs and verus the dainty intricate Indo-Pak(for short) designs. Arabic are bold full of life and lots of shading. I hope this was helpful good luck, Henna won't offend her, she may be more delighted and you can always ask her. If you want details on Arabic traditions you'd have to ask Catherine.... blessings, Christine
