The level of tannin in henna makes it interfere with digestion. It's
not even very good for cows. It's not toxic, it's just sort of
totally useless. So ... don't eat it ... even if the appeareance and
taste doesn't make you wonder if a Canada goose just did something
vile. (Without even a ribbon on it's neck.)

Once, some Bliss-ninnys' child said he had eaten some of my henna that
I had left out to dye release ... and I really had to wonder just how
bad a cook his mother was ...... though I simply gave him a lecture on
how he should never put ANYTHING in his mouth that he doesn't know
exactly what it is, how long it's been sitting around, and if anyone's
been messing with it.
