Come to think of it, I think the cardboard insert did have a plaid
pattern...
I stuck a pin into the plastic tips - but later had to make the hole
relatively large, mostly so that when I stuck a pin back into the
metal tip, it wouldn't get stuck on the plastic. I think I was using
the almost-smallest tip. I'm pretty sure the smallest didn't work,
but that was before I learned not to mash the powder into the sifter.
(Some larger bits get through that way.) Not sure what would happen
now. My winter skin flakes more, so tiny lines are not worth the
trouble at the moment.
