I was given that same kit as a gift after i already had quite a bit
of experience with mixing my own henna. I found that the henna in the
kit needed a LOT of sifting due to many fairly large twigs left in
the powder which clogged the cone tip. (The directions in the book
didn't tell me this though, which I believe would be very
discouraging for a first timer.)I also don't think i would recommend
using the oil they give you, it smells like kerosene or something.
All in all I thought the kit could have been done better.
Definately use Catherine's recipe. Then get some really good henna
powder and you will see the difference.
