I like to draw my designs out first, too. I use something called a "noblot ink pencil" by Eberhard Faber. I got mine in a henna kit I bought, but you would very likely be able to find one in an art supply store. You just trace along the design on the paper with the ink pencil, dampen your skin, and press the traced design against it for a second. You will find a blue/green outline on your skin. If you draw a design you really like, you might want to make copies, and keep the original; I haven't had much luck getting more than one really good transfer from each paper. Best of luck! : I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge, tips, tricks etc on : making your own tranfers? I generally work best (especially on : awkward areas) if I draw the design out on paper first but with a : little bit of expiremntation have been unable to find a viable method : for tranfering the design onto the skin. If I do manage to find a way : of turning tha application of Henna into a side Business, Transfers : would be a big help, and making my own would be ideal! Anyone have any : ideas on methods that may or have worked?
