My gosh Janet, I've been doing henna for the public a scant 2 years and
I think I've already seen it all! Of course I'm here in Southern
California and there are a lot of wack jobs out there. Don't get me
wrong, God bless the drunken tourist! They are my bread & butter.
Seriously, I love the public. My stars, I've met such interesting
people! Anyway, I have seen folks wearing multiple colors on fingers
and toes (men too believe it or not), all the colors of the rainbow,
and nails soooo long (how long were they?!) I wondered how that lady
used the Necessary and zipped her pants up herself. I almost asked, but
I was afraid to hear the answer! Did anyone else see the pieces of real
dollar bills clear polished on the fake nails last summer? Yikes!
I myself only wear toenail polish, and am partial to gem tone purples
and blues and greens, which all look SMASHING with henna! Fingernail
polish is just wasted on me because as a mommy I wash my hands a
zillion times a day and it looks crappy a day after a manicure. Sigh...
maybe, someday, I'll be able to have nice looking nails... though never
so long I can't go to the You Know by myself!
