I've seen seemingly better results with Dr. Bronner's peppermint
liquid soap .... I suspect that soaps that leave your skin slightly
acid rather than slightly alkaline encourage henna staining. Henna
really does prefer to dye in an acid environment ... Most commercial
soaps seem much more alkaline than the Sandal and the Bronner's.

(With Bronner's, I can sit for hours with a magnifying glass enjoying
his rants!)
