Light Mountain Hair Color

I have gray hair, now colored with permanent dye, but I want to stop using the harsh, chemical dyes. Will Light Mountain Cover The Gray really cover my gray and look OK, without looking too bizarre? Should I wait to use it until all my current dye has been cut off? My roots are getting really long and I'm thinking I'll just stop coloring my hair altogether, but a friend told me about Light Mountain.
