She didn't let the paste sit...as soon as she made it she started
applying it.

As for the proportions of the ingredients: for the liquids added to
the paste, the hot water, lemon juice and orange blossom water were
in equal parts. The sugar was about 2 tablespoons.

In the lemon-sugar fixative there was about 2 cloves of fresh garlic
crushed, about 2 tablespoons of sugar, a teaspoon of black pepper and
about a half a cup of lemon juice.
