I'll check it out ... facial patterning is really, really cool! And since it parallels henna, it's not that far ot. I was just looking at some 16th century Persian paintings of ladies with lovely facial marks and some very nice fingertip henna (nails with a little fillagree just below).... it was interesting in that that particular manuscript had both red and black henna on fingertips, and included ethnically Chinese women with hennaed fingernails (the Chinese that were bordering the Persian empire .... say around Uzbekistan). Considering that the Chinese word for henna is "fingernail flower" or ("fingernail decoration" depending on how you translate it) that manuscript shows henna passing between Persia and China. I think harquus is classy beyond words! Anyone need 3 more pages of harquus patterns?
