Another funny thing about the palm skin vs other skin, that seems to
contribute to the darker henna color:
Under the microscope, you can see that the skin cells on the palm
stain evenly all over ..... BUT .... on the other skin, you can see
that the center part of the cell (nucleus?) does NOT stain or stains
less, while the surrounding material stains ok.
That, and the epidermis is much thinner on places that aren't adapted
for abrasion (like palms, soles).
