How do you feel about keeping the skull but embellishing it towards
either Tibetan devotional work (elegant, often flowering,
incorporating beauty, death, enlightenment and the transitoriness of
life into a spiritual whole) or tweaking it in a Kali direction (not
all that different I suppose)? Or would you prefer medieval European?
I would be inclined to incorporate it into a new work (transformation
rather than obliteration)

I wouldn't tattoo into a fresh henna design .... but if it were nearly
faded out it should be ok. I don't like what I've seen in my own skin
when henna's hit the dermis by accident .... .
