i just stumbled upon sting's 'desert rose'...its a very sweet song,
with a mix of sting's english and cheb mami's arabic. its hummable
though to most.
i haven't had a formal henna party, but have had several sisters and
cousins get married, and have the traditional "mendhi" or bridal
shower in english terms..so during our mendhis, we have pakistani
food and it itself is so filling, i have tons of recipes if anyone is
interested...also afghani (i'm afghani but US raised) anyhow, for
your party, you had some nice ideas there, good luck on it.
have lots of finger food, its easier to prepare and serve.
