Ginger is indeed a warming agent. My Moroccan father-in-law makes a paste of the powder and puts it on his back, like a plaster. He does this to warm up his back when he has pain there. Ginger warms by increasing the circulation. If you have cold feet, you can warm them up by rubbing ginger on them. I would assume that you could use ginger in the henna process to bring warmth. Maybe use the powdered stuff in your paste, or possibly in your lemon-sugar mix. You could also try rubbing the area to be hennaed with fresh ginger right before applying the henna. A side-by-side test would be required to know for sure...and because the ginger will warm a whole area it would be best to do the same design on one arm with the ginger on it, and then the same design on the other arm without the ginger. let us know what you find out.
