Interesting thought .... what sort of ink would you use to transfer the stamp to the skin ? Do you think it would really save you any time over sketching? Seems the big jobs would be the ones that would most benefit by a shortcut, but the big jobs would present the challenge of making a clean transfer over inevitably uneven terrain. Granted, it would be ideal to be able to drop a big Celtic back piece over the shoulderblades in one pass, then henna it all in, but I wonder how many people would fit the same size flash. And then ....how easy or difficult would it be to get the thing transferred cleanly? I've watch tattoo artists transfer flash onto people .... and patterns that were perfectly geometric on paper came up quite irregular when wrapping around something even fairly tubular, like a thigh. When the muscle flexed, the circle became an oval, and then sitting, it got really odd. I undersand now what you were saying .. (slightly thick here, as usual) but I'm sitting here with a little stamp wondering if it's actually very helpful. It may be one of those things that you just want to keep in your repertoire just in case.....
