We've been experimenting with the tip Kenzi picked up of sieving the
paste. Find a fine plastic sieve, pop the paste in once it's been
mixed to application consistency, then push it gently through with a
teaspoon. You may need to use another teaspoon to scrape the henna
off the other side of the sieve.

Kenzi's theory was that not all the powder goes into a smooth paste,
and the sieve removes the lumps. The paste sure looks good when it
comes out the other side and it does reduce clogging.
