I have colored my hair with Henna twice in the past year. I never did it myself, I had a friend do it. Dying your hair with Henna is very common in the middle east and in Israel(my location). I don't know the exact ingrediants, but I do know that you nedd to mix the henna grains with an egg, with herbal tea, with water, with lemon, grapefruit juice/seeds and a few kinds of herbs and spices, and there are a few more ingrediants that I'm forgetting. 30 minutes isn't going to do anything for your hair. The Marocanians leave the heena on their hair for many hours, usually 10. They wrap their hair with a towel, and sleep with it. This is what i did, and the results were very satisfing.
