Ye Olde World Living History Foundation has the Best insurance I've ever found for henna artists! Thier criteria are that you must be preserving an ancient tradition, or doing "living history". Henna is all that! I have the "Merchants & Artisans" plan, which costs $100 per year and provides protection for ownership, maintenance or use of premises & operations, and includes coverage of 2 million special & general liability, $5,000 reenactors special risk & $2,500 personal medical. Call them for better info about just exactly WHEN and WHERE you are covered. Though I believe this is a solid, inexpensive plan. We are in a very low risk pool for insurance companies AS A LIVING HISTORY business. How many people sue reenactors and renfaire merchants? Almost none. Try and class your self as a tattoo artist and see how your rates compare, though. It's all in how you word it!! Tell them Carrie at Red Veil Mehndi sent you-he knows exactly what henna is!!
