Faded Designs: What to do?

Hi all,

Anyone have any nifty ideas for how to get rid of/successfully henna over old designs? I wanted to make up a batch of henna this weekend, but old designs from two weeks ago are still visible on my hands. They are faded and not really noticeable, but scrubbing hasn't removed them very much. In some lights it looks like a skin disease in a pattern!
Any nontoxic or creative ideas appreciated...
