: Has anyone made the henna paste then zapped it in the microwave? Could it replace letting it sit? Would it work or just cook it? To speed up the dye release, I put my henna in a durable ziplock bag and warm it in a double boiler, with just enough water to cover the henna in the bag. I've microwaved a tupperware tub full of henna that I needed to thaw quickly from the freezer, and I'll nuke it for 20 seconds at a time, then stir, and repeat until warm. Be careful not to cook too long each time, as it will turn the sides that touch the plastic bowl into black hard crust. I didn't notice any difference in the final stain as opposed to just thawing on the counter all day. Carrie
