Storing henna hair coloring...

I've read previous posts about storing henna for skin design purposes. I see that it loses its staining qualities.
Will the henna you use for hair coloring do the same in the freezer: lose its staining/coloring properties? I'm not hennaeing my hair yet, waiting for the previous color to go completely, but I would like to know for when I do use henna. I don't want to reuse my henna and have it stain a different color! :0
