::: I am an artist who receiently became interested in body art Could someone help me understand. Tatoo is an acient art that has embraced modern technology to elavate it's art form to new and SAFER levels. My question----- Why doesen't those who practice Henna use some of the dyes , stains , inks, ect. that are readidly avaiable, and MUCH easier to use ? Skip, I have been called an artist and have been doing body art seen the early 80's. I started out with air brushing tee shirts in Catalina Island, this quickly evolved into bodyart when people requested that I paint their skin rather then the tee shirt. (most water based acylic paint) is safe on the skin, but should be washed off after the fun. It wears off in a day anyway. Henna is a different art form then body painting. It is permanant for a couple weeks and can not be washed off. It is more like a tattoo in that your stuck with the design for a while. Seven days to three weeks for henna a life time for a tattoo however long that may be Seven days to a 100 years. hehhe.. Natural Henna which stains many shades of a -red -brown -orange color is very safe if fresh and very nice to have drying on the body... henna feels good.. I suggest that you try it if you haven't. As far as the general thought about henna, tattoos, etc in my area. Henna is cool! Tattoo's are cool! and the rest are goooooooofffffy!! {{{including the black fake henna which is for lammers and fools}}}}}}} You are welcome to visit my galleries @: h2>http://www.hennatattoo.com
