I agree with you Seesee. Just because it cam from a granny it doesn't mean it's safe. When I lived in the Middle East, my mom was given a recipe from her neighbour and the recipe called for gasoline. We tried it and it worked. I did the design on my palm and left it on for a few hours, then took it off before I went to bed. When I woke up in the morning the design was almost black. That was the only time I’ve ever used gasoline when making my paste. And I don't think I ever will; now I know better. I don't think some of the locals there cares what they put on their mix as long as they get the dark colour. Anyway... just be careful when using products that promise dark stain within minutes. The powder has probably been chemically enhanced to give the dark stain. We are looking for that dark staining miracle Henna powder like we are looking for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Just like the pot of gold, that miracle powder probably doesn't exist. : Remember, black hair dye has been around for many decades. Just : because it's granny's doesn't mean its safe...they used to use coal : tar derivatives to dye the hair black before they knew any better. : Anything that can enter the skin after half an hour is bound to be a : very small molecule, which means it can keep going under your skin and : into your bloodstream.
